THE PARK SPEED LIMIT IS: 5 miles per hour.
NOTICE: THE VILLAGE PARK IS UNDER SURVEILLANCE.
RULES - PLEASE READ THESE RULES CAREFULLY IN THEIR ENTIRETY.
1. NO TABLES OR OTHER PROPERTY OWNED BY THE VILLAGE WILL BE ALLOWED TO LEAVE THE AREA OR THE PARK IN GENERAL UNLESS COORDINATED WITH A DESIGNATED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE VILLAGE BOARD.
2. NO BURNING OR FIRE PITS ALLOWED WITHIN THE PARK UNLESS MAINTAINED IN A GRILL.
3. NO ONE UNDER 12YRS. OF AGE PERMITTED IN THE PARK UNLESS SUPERVISED BY A PARENT OR GUARDIAN.
4. ALCOHOL PERMITTED IN PAVILION AREA ONLY (must provide insurance rider.)
5. NO CAMPING UNLESS VILLAGE BOARD APPROVAL OF PLANNED EVENTS.
6. NO RIDING BIKES, GAS OPERATED VEHICLES WITHIN THE PLAYGROUND AND BALL FIELD OR PAVILION AREAS.
7. NO CLIMBING OR SITTING ON FENCING, NO LITTERING, CLIMBING ON BUILDINGS, NO LIVESTOCK WITHIN THE F UNLESS DURING AN ORGANIZED COMMUNITY EVENT.
8. NO FIREWORKS WITHIN THE VILLAGE PARK.
9. NO DIGGING OF ANY KIND.
EMERGENCY POWERS--NOTHING IN THESE RULES SHALL:
PROHIBIT OR HINDER THE AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE OF THE VILLAGE BOARD OR ANY PEACE OFFICE FROM PERFORMING THEIR OFFICIAL DUTIES.
PROHIBIT THE VILLAGE BOARD FROM ESTABLISHING EMERGENCY RULES REQUIRING TO PROTECT THE HEALTH, WELFARE, AND SAFETY OR PARK
VISITORS AND TO PROTECT PARK PROPERTY; INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE RIGHT OF THE BOARD TO ORDER ALL PERSONS OFF VILLAGE PROPERTY AND CLOSE ALL THE PORTIONS OF THE VILLAGE PARK, THIS INCLUDES OUR VILLAGE OF GARDEN MAINTENANCE PERSONNEL DURING WORK HOURS.
RENTALS
Any group or gathering of 20 or more people may use certain areas within the public park in the Village of Garden to the exclusion of others by making an application and being granted a permit by the Village Board or their designated representative for the Village of Garden Park.
1. Applications for the permits to reserve park space shall be made upon forms to be furnished by the Garden Village Park and Recreation Department as approved by the Village Board.
2. The Village Board representative may, upon written application, grant specific use, permits for special uses, in the opinion of the Village Board or representative if special consideration is warranted.
3. Applications shall be made in advance for the time of the event sufficient to
72 hours or more to have time to post notice of reservation. Applicant must be over the age of 18-years of age.
4. In the event there are more than 1 application for the reserved space than available then applications will be taken in order of time and date. (First come first serve basis)
5. The security deposit will be $100 and will be returned to the renter after the area is cleaned and garbage removed, and no damages exists.
· To have alcohol at the event, the renter must present a copy of insurance and liability rider along with application to the Treasurer/Clerk.
· Alcohol will only be allowed under the Pavilion area, no alcohol allowed in the playground or ball field areas. None will be allowed in the park or ball field areas
6. DAMAGES:
If there are any damages to any of the property during the rented time by the renter or guest of, the renter will be responsible for, and no deposit will be returned and will be deducted from the balance owed for damages.
Any damage to the Village Property will be the responsibility of the renter and any guest/guests. No deposit will be returned and if damage exceeds the deposit the renter will be billed for the balance.
7. No person or vehicle shall remain on the Village property between the posted closing time. Any vehicle left within the park area will be towed at the owner’s expense.
8. The rented area will be for the exclusive use of the renter. The playground and ball field areas will be open to the public.
PROTECTION OF VILLAGE PROPERTY
Destruction of buildings, markers, tables, bleachers, toilets, playground equipment, fencing, electrical equipment, or any property owned by the Village of Garden will be turned over to the proper authorities and will be prosecuted.
